What is Guaranteed Seating?
You can now travel with the peace of mind that you’re guaranteed a seat on the bus for the date and schedule printed on your ticket. Guaranteed Seating allows us to offer more flexible pricing and provide you with the reliable service you count on.

What do you need to know?
Your ticket must be used for travel on the schedule and date chosen at the time of purchase. If you want to change your travel date or schedule, your ticket must be reissued at one of our ticket counters. The $20 reissue fee will be waived until September 1, 2016. It is also important to know that our initial rollout is on Adirondack and New York Trailways schedules only and does not apply to commuter tickets or Pine Hill Trailways.

Guaranteed Seating FAQ

What if I can not travel on the schedule and date chosen at my time of purchase?
If you want to change your travel date or schedule, your ticket must be reissued at one of our ticket counters. The $20 reissue fee will be waived until September 1, 2016.

Is Guaranteed Seating effective on all of your service?
Our initial rollout of Guaranteed Seating is on Adirondack and New York Trailways schedules only and does not apply to commuter tickets or Pine Hill Trailways schedules. We are not responsible for tickets sold for Greyhound schedules.

How can I tell who is operating my trip?
As a convenience to our passengers, Adirondack Trailways and Greyhound sell and honor each others tickets. However, from time to time, this creates confusion about which carrier operates a particular schedule.

When purchasing your ticket online, click the “View Schedule Stops” link on the “Departure Schedule” page to determine which carrier operates the schedule or call us at (800) 858-8555.

What if my travel plans change last minute?
If you want to change your travel date or schedule, your ticket must be reissued at one of our ticket counters. The $20 reissue fee will be waived until September 1, 2016.

What if I miss my bus?
If your ticket was purchased at a terminal, you can go to a ticket counter and get it reissued for a later schedule. If it was purchased online, it can not be reissued after the date and schedule departure and it can not be refunded.

What if I can’t get to a ticket counter?
If you purchased your ticket online, call our Customer Care Center at (800) 858-8555. If possible, we will reissue your ticket. If you purchased at a terminal you must fo to a ticket counter.

Are there assigned seats?
No.

What if the bus is full?
With the implementation of our Guaranteed Seating program, we will be able to ensure that there are seats available for all passengers who have purchased tickets to ride on each bus. We are not responsible for tickets purchased to ride on a Greyhound schedule.

Can I buy my ticket online?
Yes. If your plans change after you’ve purchased your ticket you must have your ticket reissued before the date and schedule of your original ticket. Tickets purchased online are not refundable.

Can I buy my ticket at the counter?
Yes.

What if I don’t know what time I’ll be returning. What do I do?
If you are unsure of your return plans, you may purchase a one way ticket.

Can some one else use my ticket?
No.

Do I need an ID to get my ticket reissued?
Yes.
